Winner of the Battle of the Bands

Sun Stereo is the winner of the First Ever Outdoors Earth Day Battle of the Bands Concert!  Second place was taken by Year of the Bobcat and third place went to Seldan.  Congratulations to all of the bands who participated and gave an amazing concert.

PCTV to air Battle of the Bands

Parkland's own cable channel, PCTV, will be airing the Battle of the Bands concert in hour long segments beginning May 17th.  Starting May 17th you can catch the bands play on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9-10pm Central Time.  Longer segments will run on Saturday, May 29th at 6pm and on Sunday, May 30th at 8pm.

The First Ever Outdoor Earth Day Battle of the Bands Concert

Saturday, april 24th at Parkland College (on the North side of campus, by the gym).
Show starts at 3pm
Headlining Act: So Many Dynamos
Participating bands: Vanattica , Seventeen Sisters, The Lost Years, Year of the Bobcat, Seldan, Shark Bandit, Heyokas, and Benny Wil

The winner will receive a cash prize and studio time at Pogo Studios in Champaign.

3:00 - 3:30 pm = Benny Wil

3:45 - 4:15 pm = The Lost Years

4:30 - 5:00 pm = Seventeen Sisters

5:15 - 5:45 pm = Shark Bandit

6:00 - 6:30 pm = Year of the Bobcat

6:45 - 7:15 pm = Seldan

7:30 - 8:00 pm = Vanattica

8:15 - 8:45 pm = Sun Stereo (formerly Heyokas)

In case of rain this event will be held in the Parkland Theatre
